Music Director & Associate Pastor
Jackson Heflin
Bro. Jackson was born in Edmond, Oklahoma on July 10th, 2002 to Aaron and Becky Heflin. A Missionary Baptist preacher, his dad was called to Ardmore, Oklahoma that same year to serve as Landmark Missionary Baptist Church’s head pastor. God then called his father to Vian, Oklahoma in 2009 to serve as associate pastor at, coincidentally, Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. On November 1, 2009, at seven years old, the Holy Spirit convicted Jackson of his sins. He confessed he was a sinner and on that Sunday evening, Jesus Christ saved him from his sins.
Coming from a faithful and musical family, Jackson was encouraged from an early age to worship and praise the Lord with the musical abilities God gave him. He began leading worship on Sunday nights when he was just 12 years old. Jackson continued serving as sound tech, backup worship leader at church, and worship leader at church camps through high school. The summer before his senior year, the Lord placed a burden on Jackson to surrender to the ministry. Jackson surrendered his life to the Lord and began preaching around and at his home church. He then graduated from Vian High School in 2020.
Through much prayer, Jackson felt the Lord was moving him to pursue music to assist in his ministry for the Lord. In 2020, Jackson began attending Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia to pursue music education. He began serving on the worship team at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and in student leadership at MBSF. It was while serving in those ministries that he met his future wife, Leah Morton. In 2021, he was appointed Interim Music Director at Calvary and in 2022, he became head Music Director. Jackson and Leah married in June of 2022 and now live a joyous life with their dog, Little Bit.
While still pursuing a degree in music, Jackson’s plan for his life are in the Lord’s hands. Whatever and wherever God calls him to be, he is ready and eager to serve his Lord and Savior. He will continue to serve Calvary to the best of his abilities for as long as the Lord allows.
Secretary
Cindy Anglin
Sis. Cindy Anglin is the secretary for Calvary Baptist Church. At the age of 12, Cindy realized she was a sinner bound for hell. On the way home from a Wednesday night youth meeting, in the car with the wonderful lady who took her to church each week, she confessed her sin to the Lord and asked for forgiveness and salvation.
Sis. Cindy is a native of the Magnolia area and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1991. She married Robert L. Anglin, of Springhill, on August 11, 1996. They have a blended family of five children; Rusty, Brandon, Steven, Patricia and Hannah. She has been a stay-at-home mom since the birth of her first child, which was a wonderful blessing.
The family has been attending Calvary MBC since 2000 and faithful members since March of 2002. They have watched as the three youngest children were saved and baptized here. She began as secretary for Calvary in January of 2010. Cindy asks for your prayers as she strives to do a great job for her Lord as secretary of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
